Firebird Suite was created for "We Step Into the Light", an organization dedicated to raising awareness about sexual assault through art.
Art is created for "thrivers", a preferred term over "survivors". The project aims to empower the thrivers, and create a safe environment for them to process their feelings and experiences with the support of the artists.
Each artist and thriver are carefully paired with one another, and then work together to create a piece of art which honors the thriver's life beyond the violence they have experienced.
